. Keep learning
Just because you are not at high school anymore, doesn’t mean that you have to stop learning. Learning is the key role to fill your position and On-the-job education is the best way to build up your resume. You need to “learn on the job” to get as much experience out of it, and focus on educating yourself in the long run. For example, even though I am not working I have been borrowing books at the library about London to keep me occupied. I am studying something out of passion.
2. Teach others what you know – I don’t know about most people, but I get joy from helping others with things that I know. For example, I worked in administration, and would know how to do things an accountant or lawyer might not even know!! Even if someone is higher up in a company, there are little things they might not even know!!!! I am currently volunteering at the local christian bookshop, and an elderly lady that worked there did not even know how to use a magnet book mark!!!
Doing things like this would keep me happy in a company for sure!!! When you know something, it keeps you happy.
I decided to share this as it was a discussion post that I put up on my Library Studies course. I figured it could help those trying to work in an environment of positivity at work… and it is nice to share my thoughts on something that people want to know as well.
The main thing is to keep happy! Even if it is hard, try and have an attitude that people strive for! Being happy is a successful thing in itself, and is the most important thing in life!
Well, I hope those two points have helped someone at least. I just wanted to share what my thoughts were on the subject.
Now, back to “Writing a job application” process on my ‘Guide to responding to selection criteria’! I am very excited to be doing this course……… It has been keeping me on my toes and busier than ever, thank goodness! I missed having a busy life! haha!
